Here at Fighting Cancer with Grace, we are driven by a single goal: To create happiness for cancer patients and their families. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the lives of those battling cancer, and can greatly impact their journey. Through advocacy and outreach activities, our team works tirelessly each day to support those impacted by this awful disease.
WHat we do
In February 2019, Grace set a goal to raise enough money to donate 20 care packages to local cancer patients. She exceeded that goal and was able to donate 80 care packages to patients at The Bellin Health Center TEAM and Vince Lombardi Cancer Center, just in time for Christmas! Care packages included: blanket, warm fuzzy socks, water bottle, inspirational jar (including an inspirational message for each day), word search, journal, pens, all-natural lotion, all-natural chapstick, dry soup mix, chemo cap, snacks, and a card from Grace. She also gave the doctors and nurses a treat and a card thanking them for saving lives every day.
In March 2020, Grace donated small packages for cancer patients of The Bellin Health Cancer TEAM. The small packages included a soup pouch and gift card. In December 2020, she donated 80 care packages to The Bellin Health Center TEAM. Care Packages included: a blanket, waterbottle, journal, pen, all-natural lotion, all-natural chapstick, dry soup mix, puzzle, hot/cold rice pouch, face mask, gift cards, chocolate bar, hand sanitizer and tissue holder, ornament made by Grace, and a card from Grace. She also gave a little gift to doctors and nurses to thank them for all they do every day. The doctor and nurse gifts included: a travel mug with hot chocolate mix, face mask, and card.
In 2021, Grace's was able to donate 80 care package for cancer patients to The Bellin Health Cancer TEAM. The packages included a package of Girl Scout cookies, a coffee mug, a bag of Door County Coffee, a gift card, and a card signed by Grace. She also donated care package to the doctors and nurses at The Bellin Health Cancer TEAM that included Girl Scout cookies, a candle, and a card from Grace. In December, Grace donated 120 care packages to the cancer patients at The Bellin Health Cancer TEAM. Inside the care packages was a bag to put everything in, a cozy blankets, all-natural lotion, a pen, dry soup mix, a water bottle, a puzzle, a theraputic hot/cold rice pouche, gift cards, flashlight with an insperational message, a book, and a card signed by Grace. She also was able to put a gift together for the doctors and nurses, which included a dip or mix, theraputic hot/cold rice pouch, a pen, and a card from Grace.
In May 2022, Grace was able to donate 128 care packages for cancer patients at The Bellin Health Cancer Team, Theda Care in Appleton, and Green Bay Oncology. The gifts included a package of Girl Scout Cookies, a tumbler, a package of Door County Coffee, a gift card, and a card from Grace. She also donated 70 doctors and nurses gift bags that included a package of Girl Scout cookies, a package of Door County Coffee, and a card signed by Grace. In December, Grace donated 200 care packages to cancer patients at The Bellin Health Cancer Team, Theda Care in Appleton, and Green Bay Oncology. Each bag contained a blanket, lotion, soup pouch, rice pouch, water bottle, a pen, a cap to keep their head warm, chapstick, playing cards, a book, a word search, snacks, and a card with gift cards to Festival and Kwick Trip. Each care package was valued at $125. Grace also created 150 care packages for health care workers at The Bellin Health Cancer Team, Theda Care in Appleton, and Green Bay Oncology. The health care workers received dip mixes, soap/lotion bundle bags, a candle, a pen, and a card with gift card to Starbucks, which was all valued at $45.
In the spring of 2023, Grace donated 126 care packages valued at $35. Care packages included a box of Girl Scout Cookies and a gift card to Festival Foods. These care packages were donated to The Bellin Health Cancer Team, Theda Care in Appleton, and Green Bay Oncology. Additionally, Grace donated care packages for healthcare workers at Green Bay Oncology. The care packages included a package of Girl Scout Cookies, a drink mix, and a card with a restaurant gift card. These care packages were valued at $30.
In December, Grace generously donated 200 care packages to cancer patients. These care packages, valued at $150 each, included a bag for the patients to take to and from treatment, a cozy blanket, lotion, a pen, a soup pouch, a puzzle, a "Fighting Cancer with Grace" coffee mug, chapstick, a deck of playing cards, an inspirational book, a crossword puzzle book, a pocket heart, snacks, a gift card to Festival, and a gift card to Kwik Trip. Grace also donated 150 care packages to Health Care Workers to thank them for their efforts. The packages were valued at $50 and included a lunch tote, a package of coffee to go with their personalized Fighting Cancer with Grace coffee mug, a pen, chocolate, a hot cocoa tube, and a personalized ornament. These care packages were delivered to The Bellin Health Cancer Team, Theda Care in Appleton, and Green Bay Oncology.
This is only the beginning of our young founder. She plans to positively impact hundreds of lives over the coming years.
